I decided to donate more than a flight. I am donating 10-all inclusive experiences.

• scenic flight & beach landing on Copalis Beach, Washington for razor clam digging

• blacktail deer hunt

• Jeep adventure on the Oregon Dunes

Half Day of Heavy Equipment Work: As if these adventures weren’t enough, I’m throwing in a half-day of heavy equipment operation. Whether you need an excavator, tractor, or bush hog, I will bring my expertise and equipment to your project. 

The Ultimate Outdoors Tree also includes 2 Paddle boards, 2 adirondack chairs, 1 cord of oak firewood, and a Custom-Fabricated Steel Fire Pit: customize the design with your family name or favorite team or more!

I’m not a professional guide (yet), but I am a professional outdoorsman, pilot, heavy equipment operator completely equipped with all the gear, talent, and tools to live the Oregon outdoorsman’s dream. What’s the story?

Tree designer Carmen Hester Hu cast the vision for a beautiful, natural, outdoorsy tree and hoped to round it out with Oregon adventures to get folks outside recreating in every season.

I donate all year long to causes I believe in and my preferred donation is to take folks out to do what I do: Flying, Jeeping, jetboating, hunting, fishing, crabbing, razor clam digging, cooking. These donations are usually pretty popular in live auctions and often go for a couple grand, so I told Carmen to pick what she wanted because any of them really are a day in the life and the perfect way to connect with members in my community. But, then I changed my mind. Instead of donating throughout the year, I told her I’d sponsor the entire tree — all 10 ideas. The tag for the elk hunt that’s included recently sold at a live auction for $2,700, just to give you an idea of the value of what’s included in this package — but if you think about all the rich memories you’ll be making, you really can’t put a price on it!

And here we are at the Festival of Trees and it is a beaut! 14 generous donors and Carmen’s partner in crime Kellie Trenkle made her vision for this tree a reality.
